Selection Process

Nominations are assessed by an Assessment Committee to final stage. The finalists then meet a different Judging Panel who will elect the titleholder

Stage 1

Successful Candidate

Nominations for candidates for the award title are received from all over SA.

Only those nominations that meet the required standard will then see the candidate going to the next stage.

Stage 2

Nominee

The title Nominee is awarded to successful candidates who have accepted their nomination and have filled in an Award Requirements & Profile Form.

The information provided by the Nominee goes to the award's Assessment Committee.

Stage 3

Semi-finalist 

The title Semi-finalist is awarded to
9 Nominees who have achieved the
top 9 scores.

Semi-finalists are requested to fill in a further questionnaire.

Stage 4

Finalist

Finalist is a title awarded to the 6 semi-finalists who have achieved
the top 6 scores.

The 6 finalists make presentations before a Judging Panel,
who have already made acquaintance of the finalists' scores from the Assessment Panel, and will determine the outcome.

Stage 5

Titleholder

Awarded by the Judging Panel to the finalist who  will become the ambassador for the profession

The official title is South Africa's PA of the Year.
